Having money shouldn't have anything to do with it! I would advise him to get back on his feet, get a place, get a job and start taking care of himself again. If he did it once, he can do it again. He just needs to keep his faith and keep on living. He can start dating and maybe he'll find someone right for him out there.
I look at it like this, A Rich man with no love is always lonely while a poor man with love is the richest man alive!!
