This is how all professional car audio installers do. We will put a factory connector that will go into the factory wiring harness and it provides wire leads and we just match it up to the stereo's wire leads, make sure to read the stereo manufacter wiring diagram for all proper wire colours. Same goes for the factory harness clip. Then buy an adapter kit which again can come from your local electronic retailer which will allow you to install your new cd deck and make it look professional. The level of difficulity is very low, just make sure you get the proper wiring and deck install kit from the store, and from that point on, its simple. Please do all the wire connections from the cd player to the harness before installing it into the car. To remove it, it doesn't take too long as there is only few screws and clips, and the harness. But for deailed instructions refer to your owner's manual or a repair guide. Enjoy!

easy... i removed mine from my '96 camry and it was a sinch... if you have good common sense.. itll help when it comes to figuring out what wires go to what.. the tricky part is when you hafta match the wires... most wiring harnesses are made universal, to fit mostly european + american cars... but toyotas are japanese.. and they do things differently... instead of color coding the wires.. they color each speakers wires differently and within those subgroups (the 4 speakers) ... they mark each wire by its positive/negative charge (to polarize -[ -+ or +- instead of -- or ++ ... just like a battery ]- the connection for better response, you should attach the corresponding negative + positive wires).. not which two neccessarily connect... to figure that out you hafta look at the map on the directions that labels each part of the wiring harness.

If you know how to sauder and insulate wires.. then it should be a sinch!

If you are kinda new to wiring things... then have a friend or two over who has done there own wiring before and have them help you... thats what i did and i learned it ina heartbeat.. once it clicks.. its as easy as riding a bike.. just have patience and have some other brains helping you out... expierenced brains are the best ! +)

goodluck!
