if not what does? i heard that some scent triggers the memory part of your brain so you remember things...

yeah i heard if you chew a certain flavor gum when ur studying for a subject and then you chew the same one during the final it will help you remember what you studied

Peppermint ALWAYS makes me remember one of two times I got so drunk I passed out... (peppermint shnapps) I can't even chew peppermint gum or eat a candy cane anymore, the scent and taste are so strong.
The smell of carrot cake always reminds me of when I was 5 years old.. the man my mom was with (a child molester) made her make carrot cake for his birthday. I haven't eaten it since.
The smell of dunkin donuts coffee reminds me of being back in college... rushing to get into town for a coffee before my first class
The smell of roses makes me remember when a person very close to me gave me a yellow rose for my 8th grade "graduation".
I have a lot of these actually... didn't even realize it.

Smelling peppermint makes me happy because I think of a Christmas when my Mom and I broke up Candy Canes and used them to spell "Merry Christmas" across a mirror that hung above our fireplace.
Carpet cleaner is something I can barely stand to smell. I was getting stains up from my rug on a horrible day of my life when I realized my "knight in shining armor" was a lying piece of crap. Prior to that time in my life - carpet cleaner didn't bother me at all. Now it makes me queezy.
Scents for sure trigger memories and put you in a mood.
