My friend charged something on my Visa card and said he can put that amount right back in with his Visa card. Is he really able to do that?

no, he would have to pay your visa bill with his credit card.

He can't just out & out transfer the debt, however he can write you a check from his VISA account. This would pay yours off and put it on his.

He can do that, but what he has to do is take a Cash Advance from his card and pay you. You could then use that money to pay your bill.

Sounds like he was trying to pull something. In the future just have him pay it on his in the first place.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!!! DON'T DO IT. Just tell that person to give you thecash, you deposit the money into your account. Period. I hope it doesn't end up in court. This is why you don't let money and friends mix. It creates a mess. Don't let your friends hustle you like that again. Let them be broke, because friends like that constantly do trifling things like that. At least don't let them talk you into things you don't already understand.

No. He has to give you the money which you use to pay the bill when it arrives.
