I would have to say no. There are multiple passages in the bible about slavery, and how slaves should be obedient to their masters. It obviously supports slavery, to start with. I am sure I could find plenty more examples of the bible's basic tenant that some people are born superior to others, but I must go cook dinner. Ask again some other evening!

Thomas Jefferson agrees with the Bible, if he didn't he wouldn't have tried so hard to abolish slavery, and thankfully he did. May he rest in Peace.

All men, meaning men and women, are created equal, but we the human beings don't treat each others as equals. sad but true.

A note for JC Follower,

Thomas Jefferson was once asked which books effected his life. He mentioned 6 books that had a major effect on his life, One of them was the Bible, and the other one was 'Skeleton in the Zahara'. If you can read the second one, you will understand why he did what he did with the slaves in Americas.

The Bible is the Bible. It is God's word. The better question would be does Thomas Jefferson agree with the Bible?

Oh yeah sure - all men are equal. The women however are not.

Jefferson says women & men are equal, but the Bible says women should submit to their husbands.

That is NOT equality.

Another reason I left.

Yes, the Bible certainly agrees that all men are created equal.
We are all equally sinful in the eyes of God.
The good news is, we don't have to stay that way.

Praise God!!

Perhaps 'all men are created equal', but do they stay equal? If people are 'Christians' and set apart, holy, consecrated, etc; are they equal to others?

Forgetting religion; if all are created equal; then can I do the same things now that Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, etc currently do?

of course. we are created in Gods image and are created equally so therefore we are equally maybe not physcially but we all are equal as humans.

Of course we do, all men are equal, they are all born in sin, in need of The Savior.

In a way yes....for God made us all... But those who are the 'children of God', who believe... are one with God. you can read about it in Galatians 3:
26For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

27For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

29And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise.
