rubbing nose in it is making her submissive and peeing more,,, invest in a crate,, when she comes out of crate,, she goes outside ( on leash) when she goes,, praise allow her inside,,, after she wakes up, after playing,, after eating you must take her outside and praise her profusely when she goes.... do not rub nose in it,,, that is ridiculous and cruel

You are correct. Beating and rubbing the nose in it does not teach your dog anything but cruelty.
Unless you see the dog pooping or peeing do nothing, because she will not understand being beaten later as she will have forgotten in a matter of minutes after she has gone.
If she is 2 to 3 years old, she has naver had anyone take the time to train her.
If she is going to be an inside dog, you will have to make the effort to train her.
To begin, take her outside several times a day and when she does it, praise and pet her. She will understand and learn soon.
But the beating has to stop. It is possible that a pit bull, having been beaten daily will turn on the person doing the beating.

Put her in a small kennel with news paper on the bottam block off most of the kennel so she has no room to go to the bathroom take her out every few hours to let her go.If she goes to the bathroom somewhere she shouldnt then put her nose in it then tell her "no" and after a few weeks of doing that she will be potty trained. This is was we did with my dog and he has never went in the house or where he is not told to go since then.

You are totally correct that rubbing her nose in it and beating her do NOT help. That is a very old, outdated method that no trainer would ever recommend today.

Please print out and show her this page from the Humane Society: http://www.hsus.org/pets/pet_care/our_pets_for_life_program/dog_behavior_tip_sheets/housetraining.html. It provides tips on housetraining.

If you keep hitting her until she yelps you are being cruel. How can you punish a dog that doesn't understand that its wrong. People wonder why dogs attack...
