I discovered today on my penis (like I said this was personal, if your reading blame only yourself) something that almost looked like a pimple. It felt soar when I touched it (again, I know that's gross but hey--) and I am scared. What could it be? Is it an STD? I've never had sex, on masturbated, but never sex, and I also have this acne-like spots in my pubic area. Is this all a part of puperty? Can pimples and acne grow in these places? Am I overeacting? Should I be scared? Thank you sooo much for anyone that can answer this! Appreciate it.

If you've never had sexual contact, it's probably not genital warts (do you have warts elsewhere on your body?).

"Acne-like spots" that hurt could be ingrown hairs.

If you HAVE had sexual contact (including oral), it could be herpes or ingrown hairs. Syphilis sores generally don't hurt, and warts are fleshy and look like little cauliflowers, but don't have stuff inside of them like pimples. Herpes sores are red/blistery http://www.microbes-edu.org/etudiant/imgderm/46-herpes-genital-2.jpg

Also, it could be a plain old pimple or irritation from friction. Take it easy for a few days.

I'm not sure what "on masturbated" means. If you have never been with another person, then no, you can't have an STD. If you have masturbated with another person, and/or touched her then touched yourself, then yes, you can have one.

Genital warts are more like little growths. What might look more like pimples would be herpes, but if it is your first outbreak with that you'd probably not feel good and have mild flu-like symptoms too.

Genital warts don't go away so it wouldn't heal up. Herpes are a little more pimple like, but they get more wet looking in the middle, as opposed to yellowed in the middle.

To be safe, I'd say go see your doctor. If it doesn't go away in a couple of days like a pimple would, then you just have to go see a doctor.

if you have not had sex then no std. genital warts do not hurt when you touch them. it is most likily a pimple or depending on how you masterbate would be irritated skin. give it a few days and dont poke at it. if it stays or gets worse see a doctor. you are just worrying yourself to death.

It could be an ingrown hair follicle. Don't fool with it....see a doctor. If you haven't had sex, than it can't be genital warts...they are a Sexually Transmitted Disease...so rest easy there...but still get it diagnosed.
