Of course those things will help. Running and stair workouts are great for your legs. Eating healthy is great too. Another tip is to stop drinking cola/soda, and switching it out with water. Remember water is your friend. Also some studies show that whey protein while helping to build muscles also can help with fat removal. So a nice way to get some of your nutrients is to have a nice protein shake after your workout. Use a blend with using 100% protein, skim milk, frozen or fresh berries and a banana. But make sure to cut down on the processed sugars (high fructose corn syrup) because excess sugar can be stored as fat. Instead of sugary cereals, try going grown up style for breakfast with some oatmeal and add some raisins or blueberries for sweetness.

You need to do two things: eat a healthy diet and exercise those legs a lot more. If you have time, you need to walk. Can you walk for an hour a day? That would be good.

In your eating, you should stop eating anything with any fat in it, except meat, which is OK three times a week. So no french fries, no potato chips, use only sunflower spread (sparingly) instead of butter. And yes, you should eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

If you drink coke, change to cafeine-free diet coke, but it would be better to change to carbonated water or even plain water as your regular drink. Tea is good too as it is very hydrating.

for your height, you are at the perfect weight. you're only 12, and your body still has growing to do, so don't ever go on a "diet" because you think you have "fat legs" or something. If it makes you feel better, it seems to me that majority of girls are self concious about their legs too. You really have nothing to worry about, but if you're that concerned, you could start running 2-3 times a week for 25 minutes. You will tone up some, which is all you need to do.

you are way to young to start cutting out essential foodgroups, especially meats! as you are nowhere near finished growing, you have a long way to go, by 16 your size will change even more so hang in there.
I understand its hard but dont deprive yourself. You can still eat meat etc jst not the fat on it, or the skin on the chicken. Limit your intake of fatty junk foods and sweets and definately take on the taekwondo as its a fun group exercise that you will feel more likely to stick with, its also a great all over work out
Moderation is the key. best wishes

Running a mile a day wil help, the stairs is good to.
Do not over do your excercise you might increase your blood
pressure if you over do it. Alternate the days you run
perhaps mon, wed fridays, and hit the gymn tuesday and thurs
and do the stairs perhaps daily 15 minutes sounds okay.
Eat healthy ,drink plenty of cold water which will jumpstart

Honey, you don't need to loose weight, what you really need is to tone your muscles.
I'm 34, 5'3" and weight 116. :) If you will look at the Body Mass Index chart your weight should be close to 126 pounds, so you are in a good shape.
Now about fat on your legs. Every person will have a different % of body fat, that is convertable to energy. Aerobic pathway is the only exercise that will convert your fat into enzimes for a Kreb cycle and than turns into energy that your body can use. This cycle kicks in as the last one.
So when you start your aerobic exercise your body will use creatine that have been stored in your muscles fist, than carbs that you consumed earlier and only after that it will involve stored fat as a sorce of energy.

Conclusion: you need daily aerobic exercise to burn fat and tone your body.
You absoultely have to have protein in your diet. If you decided do not eat meat you have to substitute it with other source of quality proteins like soy, tofu, beans, nuts, etc.

I am a personal fitness trainer and enjoy helping people like you every day. :)
Here are basic recommendations that you can start with.

Food as Fuel:

Going without breakfast because you planning a big dinner is as silly as filling up your car's gas tank after you finish the trip. Eat all of the foods that are good for you; all of the grains, vegetables, fruites and lean proteins that you enjoy. Eat 6 small meals a day. Eating smaller meals more often will help to speed up your metabolism. Missing meals slow your metabolism. Also chew your food at least 30-40 times every time you take a bite. This will slow down your meal time and it easier to digest your food.

Hunger can stress the body and trigger the release of cotisol, a hormone that encourages the storage of fat in the abdomen. To keep hunger under control, split your meals and snacks into 5 or 6 minimeals.

Water - Drink TONS of water!

If you add 2-3 liters of water to you diet you will feel better - PROMISE. You will have to use the restroom often, BUT you will loose weight, inches, feel less bloated, and retain less water IF you add water to your diet. Men who are overweight should add up to galon of water a day. Sip throgh out the day for best result.

Your Body Needs Daily Exercise.

The only way to be fit is to exercise on the regular basis: daily if possible. Some benefits of daily exercise are: you don't get sick as often, you have more energy and you sleep better. Exercise doesn't have to be structured.
If it is something you enjoy doing, you'll look forward to it. Walking or riding a bike with your children to school is fun. Even though it may only be a couple of miles, it is something.
If you aren't looking forward to your next workout, do something else. Walking is probably one of the best fat burning exercises you can do - just walk more!

Have Realistic Expectations

You dont get out of shape over night so do not expect to loose weight over night neither. You can loose 10-12 pounds a month just by exercising more - without dieting! I promise you will feel better, get more fit and reach a higher level of satisfaction by starting slowly and expecting moderate weight and measurement losses.
Think within longer time frames, and a pound or two on a scale won't seam so important.

In your case you don't really need to loose weight but the more you workout the stronger your muscles will be and, depends on the count of fast twitch fibers in your body, you will develop a muscle mass that will eventually replace fat cells.

Cross-Training

Every few weeks plan a change in your routine. Note only will your mind be more challenged, your body will have to adapt and the body will benefit from the new stimuli. The body is an amazing adaptable machine. It will begin to burn less fat as an energy source for the same activity if you don't change your programe regularly.

Get 7 to 8 hours of shut-eye a night

Chronic sleep deprivation can raise cortisol levels. It can also drive down levels of the appetite-control hormone leptin, making you feel hungry.

Laugh more

Here's a tactic anyone can stick with! In a study conducted at Loma Linda University, men and women who watched a humorous video had 30% less cortisol in their blood not only while watching the tape but also up to 24 hours later.

I hope this will help. Email me if you have any questions

You dont need to lose weight! My daughter is 13 and weighs about the same and she looks just fine! You need to eat meat. It is low on carbs which is good for you. You should eat a well balanced diet that would include meat, fruits, vegetables! Low fat milk is good and drink plenty of water!

You need to do toning exercises to tone your legs. Do a search on the web for leg toning exercises and get started. Also eating meat has nothing to do with fat in your legs.

I think you are getting plenty of excercise. Be twelve, have fun in life and quit putting your legs in your way, they are fine.
