Something that is only sold around home (Eastern NC), Bright Leaf's Hot Dogs. They don't even taste like a regular hot dog.

During the summers, when I wasn't teaching grade school, I worked off the "kill floor" at a meat packing plant to get a little extra money into the household. One of the things I learned while working there had to do with what goes into "meat fillers" used in hot dogs or weiners. Because of that, I only will purchase "all beef" hot dogs or franks and avoid anything that has "meat fillers" in the ingredients. Now, I like all-beef and will usually grill or boil them. They're best on a rye bun with German mustard, raw onions, and sauerkraut.

I was told that those hot dogs you get from the vendors in NYC are the best, but upon trying one I have to say, my favorite is Oscar Myer Beef - preferably bun length.
