You have been duped by the marketing machine. Budweiser sucks!

As a beer enthusiast, I can say that I have noticed that beer prefrerences comes from what you have grown up drinking. Every country has it's own 'old-man beers'. Usually an old-man beer is light and fizzy, and the price is very cheap. In the US, think Schlitz beer. In Australia, Foster's has often been refered to as an old-man beer. Most of these beers are hated by people 60 and younger. However, at one point, those beers were loved by young, blue collar workers. Light beers tend to taste best after a hard day's work.

You will see that most of the people here who disagree prefer a beer that is local to them. Most Canadians like Canadian beer. Most Australians will tell you that an Aussie beer is best. Likewise, most people from Europe will tell you that Budweiser is terrible. And is probably because they are used to drinking their local brews.

Budweiser is very light and watered down compared to most other beers in the world. Therefore, the rest of the world prefers to drink beers that have more flavor.

Personally, I think Budweiser, and most other Anheiser-Busch beers, is too sweet (because they make it with rice and take out a lot of hops) and watered down (again, because they use a lot less hops). If you ask me, Budweiser will one day become an old-man beer.

Try drinking others beers. You will notice a lot more things that a beer should taste like. If you still like Bud, then keep drinking it.

Budweiser the best eh?

Budweiser is a beer designed to appeal commercially to as many people as it can. Because of this it is rather bland and flavorless. There is not much hop flavor, malt flavor, or any flavor in general. Some people like that sort of thing. I'd rather have a beer with some character.

While America has some great beers, I'd say that Budweiser isn't on my list of favorites. As far as saying it is the best beer in the world, I would have to disagree.

In my opinion, though I'm sure you don't care to read my opinion, Budweiser is a good or very good beer but there's no way we're ahead in beer-making. There are definitely beers out there, in America, from foreign countries, that are just as good as Budweiser. And there's no such thing as the greatest beer because anyone who likes beer knows that a great beer is a great beer and then it's just about right time and place for it.

Budweiser the best? You have clearly been smoking something illegal while you drink. Budweiser has got to be the world's worst beer. It is an embarrassment that most of the world thinks Bud is typical American beer. I've had beer from all over Europe and Asia (drunk in-country) and all taste better than Bud. My favorite in the US? A Seattle area microbrew, Hale's Ales Mongoose IPA.

Yes, if your world consist only of St. Louis, MO and its suburbs.
That said, sorry, 10 points or not 10 points, America makes some awesome beers, but Bud is not one of them. It's o.k. on a hot day at a ball game. And their commercials are great. And its good if you want to get drunk cheep.
And to their credit they are still family owned, unlike Miller.

But if you want to drink a good American beer I'd suggest starting with a Sam Adam's. Or consider a Sprecher's beer from Milwaukee. New Glarus in Wisconsin is also very good. Oregon has a number of breweries that are also good.

If you like Bud, you might like the Sprecher heffe wiesen or micro-light. They also make good root beer.

You're either joking; or your only 8 years old and have only ever watched daddy spill Bud on his wifebeater as he watches the Sunday race in a drunken stupor and hollers at the cat because the #42 car took too long to pit. Budweiser mass produces beer like Bounty mass produces toilet paper to wipe up after you've drank 3 or 4 buds. Budweiser is, for lack of a better phrase, colored water, and tastes as such. Anybody with any experience, and two and a half tastebuds will tell you that when it comes down to it, Budweiser doesn't hold a candle to the likes of German Heffeweissen, England's Carlsberg, or Jamaica's RedStripe. Even Sam Adams, for that point! Oh, if you don't recognize any of them, don't concern yourself with such worldly questions. Be Cool, Stay in School!

NO, its just mass produced and marketed. The rest of the world has no intrest in out producing companies like AB, Miller and Coors; the mass production of beer tends to reduce the quality. Good beer depends on your taste, But BUd isn't even the best pilsner, let alone the best beer in the world

I want 10 pts but I'm not going to lie to ya. I've been living in Germany for 6 months now and this country has the best beer hands down! I agree that American lagers are to watery. A good dark/black German beer is the only way to go. P.S.~ German beer also has WAY more alcohol and you can buy it by the liter! Does not get better than that!

Bud isn't the greatest beer in the world. It's the cheapest and most easily accessible beer in the world. If Bud was the same price as some of the craft-brewed beers, it would've gone out of business decades ago.

By far no. I used to drink it exclusively and love it for many years. I grew out of it appreciate fine alcohol now. Any American beer will never come close to these lips.

Sadly, Bud is one of the top three selling beers in the world. Alone tells how screwy this world is.

But I'm glad you enjoy something that does bring back fine memories of yesterday.
