The worm is just a inoffensive bit of protein soaked in alcohol, but it's impressive when you eat it in front of some friends. If I could offer some information to impress friends, Tequila is never sold with a worm in the bottle, the worm is sold in an alcoholic beverage called Mezcal. Mezcal is typically an alcoholic drink made with the lowest grade agave cactus, which may have some of the characteristics of cheap tequila, and it is most often identified with a worm at the bottom of the bottle. Do remember Mezcal is not Telquila, but nevertheless, enjoy the worm. Salud!

yes and it really does'nt do anything. The tequila is more harm than the worm. Plus everyone has to eat a tequila worm at least once in their lives.

If you have a bottle of tequila, by the time you get to the worm, you really won't care. I didn't and it went down pretty smooth.

Harmless. People say that the little worm will screw you up big time. It seems so only because the only way to get to the little bugger is to drink the bottle. 750ML of tequila will screw anyone up. The worm has nothing to do with it.
