No, you cannot drive alone with only a learners permit. you have to have a drivers licence to do that. And I did check with the Florida DMV.

BTW in answer low_on_ram's post. With an Operators licence you may go to school and to and from work but not with a learners permit.

Check out the site.

Tick tock !! Babe its time to head the gangstas are after me im going to capture a UFO and fill it with tangerines after which you'll be able to have tears of pleasure considering that the elemental resolution is guide labour I'll get all of the glory from catching the extraterrestrial beings within the UFO I recognise this can be a bit dicey however the radar stated the time used to be correct and expectantly I will likely be a Newspaper headline the next day

I have lived in many different states (husband in A.F.). Not one of them allowed you to drive alone anywhere on a learner's permit. You must have a licensed driver in the front seat beside you. Read your driver's license handbook or call the licensing office in your town to get the correct answer for your area.

Only if the seat next to you is occupied by a licensed driver over the age of 21 who has held a full license for at least a year.

If you've already got your permit this was probably a test question. If you haven't got it yet, you need to study more.

When I lived in Iowa at age 14-15 you could get what was called a "school permit" that allowed you to drive straight to and from school - if you were caught anywhere else you would lose your privledges.
