The answer depends on what you want.
Some questions you need to answer first.
1) Do you want to pay for the program? There are free anti-virus programs out there.
2) What operating system are you using? Are you on a Windows PC, OSX or Linux? If you don't know, it's usually Windows.
3) How much knowledge do you have about computers?
Now, the most common answer, and most commonly known antivirus programs in the market are:
-Norton AntiVirus
-McAfee VirusScan
-ZoneAlarm AntiVirus
There are many more, but they are less popular. This doesn't mean they are not as good. Each try to give you as much protection as possible.
Also there are some online antivirus programs. These programs will not keep your computer safe at all times. However, you can use them to scan for viruses from time to time. i would suggest Norton Antivirus
its is updated monthly so u get better protection from viruses
