Wouldnt the US fare better without the scourge of ISLAM?

What do these fanatics contribute to our culture? They belong in the 6th century, and stir up hate and turmoil everywhere the go..I think we would be better off without them or the koran.

Im not christian, Im atheist.. while I agree with many of your comments on Christianity,, Islam still seems to breed a level of Ignorance not seen since the dark ages. I hate to see the US burdened with dealing with these incredibly stupid,fanatical people.

Yes the United States would be better off without Islam. Muslims would be better off without Islam. They seem to kill each other more than they do the infidels. There is no doubt the world would be a better place if Muhammad had not been born.

Any country would be better of without a group of people for whom religion takes centre stage.I mean why do we keep chanting that some one is great.He is the creator.Thanks for creating.Now lets move on Why should we remind this creator that you are great 5 times a day.So many inventors have created so many things.We enjoy the benefits.We dont worship or chant that he is great for creating.Remove religion from day to day life and the world is a better place .Unfortunately islam does exactly the opposite..Even a child is brainwashed to repeat Allah hu Akbar.We in India never radicalise our children to fanactically chant God.yes we teach them religion as a way of life--The good the bad and the ugly.US could do without this any day

American Muslims have much higher education levels than the average American. The crime rate among Muslims is much lower than average Americans. Muslims contribute to charity, like the Katrina disaster, and funds for victims of 9/11. We don't drink or use drugs. We don't have children out of wedlock. We are at the forefront of the civil rights movement, e.g. Malcom X. We are researchers, professors, policemen, soldiers, laborers, doctors, and every other hardworking American profession that you could think of. The tallest building in America, Chicago's Sears tower, was designed by a Muslim.

Let me tell you what the Quran teaches me:

Say: "O People of the Book (Christians and Jews)! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but God; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, lords and patrons other than God." If then they turn back, say to them: "Bear witness that we (at least) are submitters (bowing to God's will)”. (3:64)

If this is so bad, then I don't know what other kind of religion would please you.

As an avid student of History, it's my utmost pleasure to inform you that your culture came from Europe, i.e. Renaissance, and Europeans got it from the Islamic civilisations, i.e. Moors of Spain, Abbasids' House of Wisdom of Baghdad.

So, would it hurt for you to at least feign a little bit of gratitude and show Muslims some respect? The radical Islamists consist of less than 0.001% of the total 1.5 billion Muslims (CIA Factbook). So, get a grip.

To my knowledge, we had few or no Muslims in 19th-century America, yet we still had slavery, Civil War, the KKK, the genocide of Native Americans, and Wild West outlaws. People who called themselves Christians have been doing a fine job of messing things up just like any other human being. (Of course, Christians like Clara Barton and Abraham Lincoln and Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass and the Beecher family did positive things, too!)

BTW, some of our cultural improvements came through the Islamic Moors who occupied Spain during the Middle Ages. Muslims were fairly tolerant people during that time. Nowadays we have some vocal and dangerous Islamic extremists, but that's not every Muslim, any more than vocal or dangerous Christians, past or present, represent every Christian.

I'm a Muslim citizen and my husband is a Muslim international student. We are not fanatics. We don't stir up hate either. We don't invade other countries like USA and Israel and act like we need to make everyone a democracy. And we do not support terrorists and we are not terrorists. Men in our religion take care of the family and the women take care of the house and raise the husband's children.

Quran and islam that u don't know anything about,says:

So, you are gungho eh bucko? Suit up, pick up your M-16 and an ammo belt and lets see you do your stuff, rambo. Otherwise shut up and leave other people alone. We will do better with out you. Some people here on earth love to generate hate and misery. You must be one of them. Are you happy? You aren't are you. Its not too late. Make peace, stop lying, leave others alone.

You are showing an extreme amount of ignorance regarding Islam. The vast majority of Muslims are peaceful, law abiding, moderate people.

What the US would be far better off without is the spreading of misinformation by people who should know better or have educated themselves better about an issue.
