The Animal Planet website has a list of dog parks in each state. Here is a list of dog parks in California: http://animal.discovery.com/features/dogpark/map/states/CA.html
There are descriptions of each park, including areas for swimming. Hope that helps!

I'm not quite sure, I jnknow there is a dog park by Shoreline Amputheater, and a near by park that has a pond (I think it's more towards San Antonio on the east side of 101), however I'm not sure if the dogs are able to run around there off a leash. Hope that gives you an idea. I used to bike in that area ALOT. Didn't have the dog with me.
