get access to alot of drugs and parties?? what types of people do you meet?

Well it really depends on the venue. I doubt if you're bar tending at, oh I don't know...say Applebee's? I doubt you'll get many invites to cocaine orgies with celebs. You meet some characters, that's for sure.

There are so many drugs in restaurants and bars! Its probally about 50% of people on something. Coke is big it seems and pain pills. They are always out and always have a good time. Love the bartenders!!! They talk to everyone while working. You meet strange people.

nahh,not really..it is just a job. I was a bartender in Texas before at a busy rock bar called the Oasis in Harker Hights years ago,no more parties then if I was just part of the crowd.
Then that was the early 80's and there were parties everywhere it seemed anyway,a more loose lifestyle than that of today where everyone today seems to try and impress and be so politically correct.

I think a lot of bartenders tend to sell drugs to implement their income. Yes in LA, bartenders seem to get invited to parties. I no longer go to parties but I had several bartending friends and they seem like party animals but I also know a couple that are single moms. Just depends. You have to be personable for this job.

If you project that you want such offers, you may get invited to any kind of party. If you serve the drinks, take care of the customers, take care of the job that your hired to do, most likely not. Yes, be sociable, be amiable, but there are lines that one does not cross. you set them yourself.
I met Congressmen, Senators, Govenors, War Heroes, Sports Statrs, Actors and Actresses, Models, Plumbers, Pilots, Mechanics you name it I prolly met one.
