205 lbs: Liddel and Wanderlei Silva maybe Shogun....tough call
185 lbs: Anderson Silva
170 lbs: GSP
155 lbs: Gomi and BJ Penn

My mma knowledge outside the UFC isn't there, but in the UFC I would have to rate Chuch Liddell the most powerful striker. I also like Anderson Silvas' striking. But Liddell Rules this Catagory.

Anyone who says Liddell knows NOTHING about MMA. The most powerful striker is either Mark Hunt or Cro Cop. Fedor also deserves mention.

This is question is simple. The way it's worded CHUCK LIDDELL. He is the most POWERFUL striker. He knocks guys out on punches that don't even come close to landing square.
However. Anderson Silva is right behind him in the Power department, but has much more accuracy with his punches. It doesn't really matter, I wouldn't stand a chance against either one of them i just like watching them and can't get enough.

If it's a standup fight only then the boxer would win. Muay Thai can beat boxing but an MMA fighter focuses on grappling and ground work a lot too whereas the boxer focuses on striking / positioning more.

For those who say Liddell, name people he has put in hospital, mess their career up, or never fully recovered from the fight?
Cro Cop is the one who people are scared to get in with. He put more than half of people he fought in hospital! He also end few fighters career. Few never fully recovered from fighting Cro Cop. Perfect example is Igor, Igor have a awesome record and was feared for his strikes, but after he fought Cro Cop which was very short, he basically disappeared from the MMA world. Also he sent Nog to hospital and almost end Wanderlei's career. What more proof do you want?

Mark Hunt, thats why Pride put him against Fedor. They felt Mark Hunt has the heaviest hands in MMA.
