Put on some kid friendly music and dance with them. All the ages will like that even the 11 month old!

You will not find an activity that they all will enjoy. Break them into 2 groups by age and try more age specific activities. Like Coloring from the younger 5 kids and a movie for the older kids.

Kudos to you for thinking ahead!!! I'm sure you and your sister will have your hands full. But it should go fine since you are planning to be well prepared. Honestly, since you are watching them at a house that already has 4 kids...you're in luck. The house should be pretty well equipped already to deal with this many kids and the variety of ages. But it's always good to have a back up plan. You can check sites with craft ideas. But I'd be cautious of doing anything too messy, or with small pieces since you will also have toddlers. Also, I wouldn't recommend going anywhere. It would just be too hard to keep up with everyone. For the most part, the kids will probably entertain each other. And with this many kids, I'm sure the parents wouldn't mind you allowing them to watch TV or play video games. Unlike a nanny or teacher, who parents expect to teach their child, most parents just expect a teenage babysitter to keep the kids safe and have fun! GOOD LUCK!

Wow, you guys are going to have your hands full. I hope they're paying you well.

I think that because all the kids are so different in age, it's going to be difficult to find something that they 'll all do. You might need to find activities for the older ones, activities for the middle ones, and jsut try and keep the babies out of trouble.

Good luck!!! You'll need it.

first, i would make the older two kids your "helpers"...that way if you or your sister get tied up with the others (changing diapers, watching while they eat, etc.) the older kids can be "in charge" of finding fun stuff to do. this will occupy them and make them feel important. i would suggest singing and dancing, watching a movie or two, reading, and coloring (crayons, markers are too messy ad you don't want it on the furniture at all!). you can also play duck, duck, goose or tag (and because the tewo older kids are "helpers," they won't see this as babyish)

good luck!
