Hello,
Yes there are all kinds and colors available at your local stores like Lowes, Menards or other home type centers.
If you really want to get "wild', a marine, boating center may have colors that are not found for home use.

Hope this helps,
Dave

In normal household paint, you can't get what is known as waterproof paint, but you can paint your wall so that it will not drink up the water (as I'm guessing your talking about a wall somewhere near the shower).

First of all, you must prime the wall. You can do it with latex primer, but if you want to make it much safer, you'll be wise to prime it with an oil-based primer. Don't worry if it's winter where you are, as nowadays, you can get an oil-based primer that is quick drying (2 hours!) and you can also get it low odor. You don't have to use oil-based paint though so that'll save you some grief! Latex paint is now made for Kitchens & Baths. It repels water better than other paints and is also mildew and mold resistant. This will work fine on your walls. It's a bit more expensive than regular paint, but far worth the extra cost.

Oh... you can get this paint in pretty much any color of the rainbow. Do keep in mind that if you're puting on a paint color in the yellow, red or purple family, you'll want to have your primer tinted so as to avoid having to put on more than 2 coats of the paint... primer is much less expensive than paint so it's worth it to have it tinted.

Happy painting!

Yes. It's called eggshell, and you can buy it in any paint supply shop.
Read the instructions on the tin, a wall that has never been painted before should be primed first.
This usually means doing a first coat with a thinned-down paint, before giving it a second or subsequent layers with full strength stuff.
Or ask the shop assistant -they generally can advise you well-.
With painting and decorating, the most important step is the surface preparation

I know that you can get paint that is for use in Bathrooms and Kitchens. We used it in our bathroom. It went on our plaster wall, and the wall is still standing.

Good luck
