Hi, I am a sophomore in high school and my school is holding a Sadie Hawkin's dance on Valentine's Day. I don't have a date yet, but I am planning on asking one of my male friends. I am having trouble deciding between two of them, so I want to hear some opinions.
The first boy is named Jamie. He is probably the sweetest, most genuine person I know. We have seen each other outside of school on a few instances, but I would not consider it dating. The only problem is that Jamie has lived in Spain for most of his life, so there is a significant communication barrier.
The second boy is named Andrew. We have been friends since we were 7, and we are closer than ever now. We have kissed a few times, but we don't consider ourselves boyfriend/girlfriend. He is so much fun to be around, and he treats me very nicely. I would ask him, but I don't like his lifestyle. He drinks and smokes pot frequently.
I know this is a petty question, but I care about your opinions. Who should I ask?

I really think u should ask Jamie, the nice guy from SPAIN ! I mean come on meet interesting new people. you have to admit that even though he can't communicate too well, his accent must be gorgeous! girl, u better give Jamie a chance. as fas as Andrew it doesn't seem like he could show up sober to the dance, or risk embarrasment because he looks strange from smoking that. everyone would envy the girl who brought this nice,spanish blood newbie to the valentine's dance!

looks like it will be Jamie.....wouldn't want to go out with someone who smokes or drinks, not the smartest thing to do...but if you love Andrew. and you really want to go with him, just be careful.DONT DRINK AND DRIVE...

take Andrew. you are sure to have fun and that is the main thing. you have plenty of other dances down the road. right now, its all about being comfortable and enjoying friendship.
