I totally enjoy it. I had actually quit for 20 years!! But not a day went by where I didn't miss it. Then I became unwell and smoking came back into my life.

I have about 15 a day and which I could quit, but like you sometimes actually enjoy it. I think it's because I work (partly from home, partly elsewhere), look after a 3 year old, a dog, a husband and a house and I treat a cigarette like a break. A "me" time. I tend not to smoke the whole cigarette either because i don't have time!
Incidentally I don't have time to ask or answer questions on this site, but this has become another addiction!

I can manipulate my addiction to short circuit most of my acute depressions. Even in the worst ones, nicotine addiction floods my mind with feel-good chemicals so that I at least stop crying for a while.

As a side note, it's been a while since I was that sick, about a year. Don't think that I feel horrible all the time; that was for high school!

I think there is the addictive side to smoking but the greater problem is that it just becomes a habit. I chain smoke when I'm bored, guess its a bit like comfort eating.

I smoked for many years and I absolutely enjoyed it, but smoking didn't enjoy me; I was admitted to hospital, because of breathlessness, I nearly died of emphysema. I've lost 60% of my lung capacity as a direct result of smoking. I don't smoke now.
I smoked 60 cigarettes a day up to 3 years ago.
P.S. Carry on smoking, if you want to die early.
