It is a little late for training his ears, but I will post some helpful sites..

there is one trick that I used for stubborn ears, that a specialist vet showed me.
Get the product 'moleskin' at any place that would sell human bunyun pads..Drug store, Walmart, etc..
Trim all hair off the top 3/4 of ears, inside and out.
Cut a piece of moleskin the shape of the inside of ear, but more narrow..Wipe the inside of ear with rubbing alcohol, and then wipe with warm water.. Allow it to dry completely..Peel off the back of the moleskin, and apply it to the inside of ears..The ears will stand, and hopefully get used to staying that way..Be sure to watch the moleskin, to change it if it become bent or is coming off, as it will weight the ears back down.

I have had a Yorkie for quite a while and have done a lot of reading on them. You can't 'train' a yorkie to make their ears stand. Some breeders crop their ears and dock their tails while they are puppies. I'm not sure at what age you are supposed to do it. But at this point, I personally wouldn't bother unless you are considering dog shows.

Dogs ears can be floppy for up 1 year old, you probably have nothing to worry about. I would ring the breeder to confirm it. But avoid playing with the ears as the can interrupt the progress.

Alaskan Malamutes' ears are regularly erect by the point they are 4 months previous. some do take longer, fairly in the journey that they are going to be abnormally tremendous (instantly ahead between BYB Malamutes). some ears stand generally till the dogs starts teething, and then one or both will drop for the time of that procedure (i imagine the concept has some thing to do with calcium being directed faraway from the ear cartilage in this time). Your dogs should be about executed with teething, besides the undeniable fact that, and this should not be the case. I actually have also considered particular BYB/puppy kennels breeding Malamutes whose ears in no way thoroughly stand. it truly is a severe fault. So i wager my aspect is that it comes right down to how properly-bred your Malamute is. At 6 months, besides the undeniable fact that, i'd be worried. you would possibly want to attempt supplementing her weight help application with calcium. sturdy success!

is he from a reputable breeder?? if not, you may not get the type yorkie you are expecting,, if he is,,, contact your breeder and ask her all the questions - she will be very glad to help you ---- teething time also makes for floppy ears

Go to your vet to check out the different tapes that they have, they have a special type made just for this reason, ask him about the techniques there are and you will be glad you went to the reputable vet instead of a website on the net.

If your dog has floppy ears the only way to get them to stand up is to crop them, which is cruel and barbaric.

Just learn to love your dog the way she is.
