My cat is leaving the house more and more. She sometimes stays out all night and comes home in the morning. But she's been gone for several days? Will she not come back?

Is your cat spayed? She may be leaving to meet her 'boyfriend'. Get her spayed and keep her inside when she comes back. It's safer for her and you won't have to worry!

I have two cats, both male. The oldest, he's almost two, is much more independent and has leaves for days at a time. The longest he left was a month(I know, crazy!! I think someone was feeding him) and I had written him off as lost. But once the snow started flying, he came home. The other is almost a year and he's very much a mamma's boy. But he has receintly started leaving for a few days. Another major thing to think about is to keep up on your cat's shots!! You'd be shocked what the can get into out there on there own. I actually got home to day to find my younger cat, who had been gone for around two days, with a lime sized draining abcess on his hip. Looks like a dog might have gotten him. So now I'm off to the Kitty ER. Which, trust me, is not cheap!!! I had to go last year because the female I had some how gotten penumonia, in the dead of summer. Just remember, having outside cats is a fun thing. But they get into a bit more trouble than indoor cats!! If I didn't have a barn filled with mice, mine would never set foot outdoors!

good luck.

p.s. I trained my cats to come if I shake a treat can, it's got to be an aluminum one, it may take twenty minutes or so, but they always seem to hear it and come home.

My male cat did this but he wasn't fixed...he'd be gone for a month or longer. We figured he wasn't comming home but he always eventually turned up. I now have a female that goes out and sits on the porch and stays right near the house......this has been about a year now so I don't think she will wander any farther. I'd love to know how you train a cat to come by shaking a jar of ....was it coins?

When my cat left for the first time it scared me but then she started leaving for several days at a time but she always comes back so you probably have nothing to worry about.

My cats have done that. One time my cat was gone like, 4 days. I think they just like to go out and stay out sometimes. Like the other girl said, neighbors may have it; but sometimes I think they just like a liitle bit of freedom. Cats are every independent creatures by nature.

My cat used to do that, i then found out that several of the neighbours were feeding it and letting it sleep at their house too (despite the identification tags it had)

Try questioning your neighbours and taking a walk around the block

Are they an similar sex? each and each each and each each now and then that makes a huge difference. Over the 50 years I actually have saved both dogs and cats, I actually have presented many animals to at least one yet another and are available across similar sex pairings extraordinarily men or un-neutered adults takes longer. (As all the animals are complete I in many situations save them separated till eventually ultimately after the operation has been complete now.)all of them have settled finally (in many situations interior 6 weeks) to boot the straightforward incontrovertible reality that it truly is each and each each and each each now and then been tolerance quite than friendship. on your case if topics are recovering i'd anticipate them to proceed to attain this, because the older cat continues to be in user-friendly words a youngster itself they're going to 'play-strive against' so heavily extra useful than a pair with a larger age hollow, so do no longer continuously anticipate it truly is bullying the kitten. it would want to seem as if WW3 at situations inspite of the undeniable fact that. lol! and do not anticipate all hissing etc to provide up, inspite of each and each little thing we argue with pals each and each each and each each now and then! in reality save on being affected man or woman and enable them restoration topics out between themselves. do no longer anticipate them to share a muddle tray inspite of the undeniable fact that, cats hate that and the properly-universal cat will coach their displeasure by going elsewhere. in many situations on the acceptable carpet contained in the homestead. I really have an effortless rule I really have one in step with cat + one. Cats oftentimes replace of their behaviour even as a clean cat arrives or perchance as an previous one departs!

it just means that she is getting more comfortable in her territory. i have a cat that has been gone for a week and still come back. if you live in a town you might want to get her a collar with a name and address on it. if you have a storage shed or something, you might want to check that she has not been shut in there. hope this helps:)

She is probably going to mate. We don't let our cat out because there are too many cars. We take her out on a leash. (I know, it was my husband's idea). Admittedly, it works.
