no-fat diets make it harder to lose weight. ... some fat is essential for good health, some fats are unhealthy
Applied Nutrition reminds us that all fats are not created equal, and although some fat is essential for good health, some fats are unhealthy. Besides providing energy (calories) to fuel the body, fat is necessary for absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as vitamin A-supporting carotenoids. When eaten in moderation, fat is important for proper growth, development and maintenance of good health. Fat brings taste and texture to food; it helps you enjoy food more. But some fats are bad for your health.

Saturated and trans fats contribute to higher risk for heart disease because they raise LDL (or "bad") blood cholesterol, and trans fat is doubly bad because it also lowers “good” HDL cholesterol. a little bit of everything in moderation is whats best for you with lots of working out and plenty of clean water to drink, hope this helped!
good luck!

No fat free diet is healthy for your body. You body needs some fat to absorb vitamin E. Diet is a bad word. It's all about changing your whole life style, which means eat lots of fruits and vegetable, salads, lean meats the size of the palm of your hand. If you stop eating sugar and processed products (Pasta and Bread) you would drop pounds immediately. Exercise just like walking is most important to loose weight the healthy way.

A low fat low calorie diet is much better. Your body does need a small percentage of fat a day. You can skip on high fat (hamburger) and trans fat(for real this is a bad one) but you need some amount at least 10 grams a day. YOu will find that you lose weight quicker due to your body not storing previous amounts of fat, and it will not convert sugars into fat (such as fruit) Try about 1500-1800 calories a day and 10 grams of fat. You'll lose it quick as long as you eat Healthy!!! Remember the pyramid.

I guess it depends on what you mean by NO Fat.... there are some ways of eating that suggest you do not eat any VISIBLE fats... that means that you eat the fats that are naturally part of a plant, veggie or fruit, for example, but don't use margerine, butter, and etc. You could eat a little avocado or some nuts, but in moderation. I like what Stephen Covey says about honouring your physical gifts (PQ): live as if you had just had a heart attack-- eat accordingly. That would be no visible fats (the way the primates eat). And the debate goes on....

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin. Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well.
