What would the benefits be of completing 2 years of JROTC in High School for BOTH; going through college in the Marine Corp NROTC (Army's ROTC) program AND enlisting right after High School?

There's a big difference between going through college with NROTC and enlisting right after high school. Make sure you talk with professionals on both ends to understand what fits best for you and what you are interested in doing while serving your country.

From what I understand, JROTC gives you a taste of what to expect, but it isn't a necessary pre-requisite to NROTC. You would have a basic introduction to the military, but you might also develop some preconceived notions.

I would encourage you to talk to local recruiters as well as call some of the NROTC freshman advisors at colleges to see different opinions. Depending on your GPA, your goals and your work ethic, there may be scholarships available for NROTC. Then again, if you enlist, you are getting a paycheck right from the start.

Sounds like you have a big decision to make. Not only between NROTC and enlisting, but between the Army and Marines, as there are quite a few differences for the services too.

Good luck!

You'd know about basic guidelines like uniforms, how to make a rack, rank structure, discipline, etc. You'd be that much further ahead than peers who didn't complete JROTC. However, Marine DI's often don't take kindly to ROTC recruits. I was with some ROTC guys and they all had the "better than you" attitude. As long as you don't have that, you should be fine.
