Dude... that's a question that cannot be sufficiently answered right here in this puny square. You might enjoy digging around online and doing research for yourself and get some answers. I believe that Islam is a good religion in it's own way that when people practice the altruism taught within, it's just wonderful, even though I don't agree with the philosophy of a creator god and such.

ICNA and ISNA have good websites that'll give it from an Islamic perspective... you could start there or a "Complete Idiot's Guide" for an overview... the possibilities never end. Frankly I enjoyed studying from within the Islamic perspective reading books written by Muslims for those who are curious and for Muslims who are already Muslims... MANY good DVDs, books...

Well Islam is the religion of ALL Prophets since Adam till Mohammad PB UH.
The main issue of Islam is to believe in ALLAH as the one and only GOD and Mohammad PB UH the messenger of ALLAH and Quran the wholly book of Islam.

So, you need to read about Islam to understand it's Ideology.

Islam
Islam (what it is?) - "Islam" means (surrender; submission; obedience; peace)
Islam is a verb and a noun at the same time.
The first meaning of "Islam" is the verb from the root "aslama" (a verb), meaning to: "surrender; submit; obey; sincerity and in peace."

The second meaning of "Islam" is the noun form from the same root, and it describes the last and final form of the way of life as perscribed by the Creator for His Creation. This is the name used in Quran for Muslims to call themselves as followers of "Islam". This would make them "Islam-ers" in English, but of course in Arabic the prefix "mu" is added to denote the one preforming the action or verb and instead it becomes "mu"-"islam" or "Muslim."

"Islam" can be understood in a very general sense to be the true religion of God, as it is from Him and according to His commandments without adding to or taking away from the basic precepts.

I believe in the same concept as Islam does, that there is no G-d but G-d. G-d is One. And, I am a Jew.

Absolutely!!!

Islam is the same religion that all prophets of God taught - to worship one God. God has sent mankind many messengers throughout time, the last one being the prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who also had the Holy Qur'an revealed to him. Jesus (pbuh) was a Muslim. Noah (pbuh) was a Muslim. All of the prophets were Muslims, they all conveyed the same message to their people.

The modern-day Christianity is so different from what Jesus (pbuh) taught. He never said that he was God, nor that he was the begotten son of God. He was a man, a wonderful prophet of God.
