my dvd/vcr PAL is multiregion. i can watch all videos/dvd formats. i recently replaced my 13" PAL/NTSC tv with a 25" NTSC tv, i still have the same dvd/vcr. i can no longer watch my movies, i just get horizontal lines rolling down the screen. anyone know how to fix this? or must i now buy a new dvd/vcr which is strictly NTSC?

Your new TV probably doesnt support PAL. The cheapest solution would be to buy a new DVD player. Check your menu settings on your current DVD player to see if you can switch to NTSC.

Your DVD/VCR probably autodects the content and outputs in the appropriate format

NTSC Movies ----> NTSC output, should show fine on the new TV
Pal Movies ----> PAL output, your new TV can't play them.

There is a remote possibility that you can set it to always output in NTSC; however, good PAL to NTSC is difficult.
If you just want to watch NTSC movies, your existing DVD player should work just fine. In any case, check the System menu to see if you have any other options.

You will have to either purchase a DVD player that converts PAL to NTSC or a display capable of native PAL resolution.

I think the first guy answer is right. That's why I always recommended people to buy multy system TV.
