When you live in a culture that frowns upon you trying to do anything out of the ordinary or something that may raise brows, having a place to go to to sing with your friends and just be carefree for a little while is a nice release.

because they are same in common. all of their eyes look the similar & they want to unite by doing things the same together such as karaoke n eating using chopsticks.

It is actually very popular with filipinos too. It is a tough one to answer. I guess they just like to sing and it is easy when the words and the music is presented. Why do American men like football (American) or men in other countries like soccer so much. To each his own.
