Hi Ya
Your hair growth is determined by your parents it is hereditry.

Some peoples hair grows fast and some slow.
Some get to a certain length then stop maybe above the shoulder
others grow down to their bottoms and beyond
All to do with who our parents this determins how our hair will grow, the time it takes and if straight or curls
The things we eat and plenty of water will help our hair be health y, shiney
The hair is made of keritin which is a protine.
The sun is good for hair growth but prolonged exposure to the sun will snap the ends off. As far as I am aware oil will not help it grow
Hope this helps

No oil can actually help hair grow. They may soften or condition hair. In fact, if too much oil is applied to the scalp, it may cause hair loss by softening the roots and clogging pores.

No it doesn't help your hair grow, simply keeping your hair clean and healthy is what will make your hair grow (like not using harsh products on it, not heat styling alot, and keeping your ends trimmed).
What olive oil does is it'll make your hair softer and add shine to it.

Here's an article about growing hair fast: http://www.askastylist.info/gen2.htm

I don't really think that oilve oil can really make the hair grow faster, and may even weigh down hair that is finer.

I know this sounds weird but it worked for me. There's a shampoo called "mane and tail." It's for horses, but it's great to help your hair grow. I know a lot of people that have used it.
