It has been said that abortion is worse than war because, in war, you can defend yourself. While it is true that a fetus can't "defend" itself from the needle of cellular death, what about being able to "defend yourself in war?"

Can you really defend yourself from a smart bomb targeted at you?

Can you defend yourself from the tank that is about to crush you?

Could those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki defend themselves from atomic bombs?

honestly i feel....
war is worst than abortion.....

as abortion only applies on one fetus..and we are not sure..whether that expected baby will survive or not..whether it got some genetic deformities...or not...abortion only decides the fate of one fetus...its scale is very limited.....

where as in war:

it is imposed on nations.. it make or break nations....millions of innocents died in wars..see example of world war 1 and 2 . for years people mourn on deaths of their beloved one...
in abortion we never see how that baby would be...so we are least attached with it....in wars we lost our beloved one...kids lost their parents..parents lost their kids....suffering..devastation..damage to infrastructure.....to nature...to enviourment...and most horrible thing to wars is creation of hatred among two nations and two religions .....which last for centuries ....and caused more wars.......
i hope now it helps you to understand.....what is more worse...

I still say both are causes of terrible suffering... just one you can't know exactly how much suffering an abortion could be causing and the other you can see more clearly.

I think I see the problem.

You're trying to apply reason to an unreasonable belief -- the belief that birth control is genocide.

That's the problem. It's like attaching a garbage disposal to a coffee table. I mean, you can do it, but it would be stupid.
