The burn happened on Dec. 26, 2006, is this normal. The doctor diagnosed part of it as second degree, there was a hole she was unable to see at that time, it was full of the burn cream. It now has such a thin layer of skin that when I slightly bump it, it produces blood blisters. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal, and actually it's a good sign, means there is good supply of circulation building in the area. Try harder not to bump or bruise the tissues and they will heal with less scarring.
