It's very possible that you're overdrying your skin. Rubbing alcohol (I'm assuming you aren't rubbing whiskey on your face) isn't good for the skin. It does kill bacteria, but it also kills skin cells that can clog pores just as easily. Opening your pores before cleansing is a decent idea. Try not using the alcohol, and use only oil-free moisturizer and products.
Another thing: if you're still a teenager, or even if you're in your twenties, your hormones are still raging, and they will cause pimples and red spots for no reason. Try drinking lots of water and avoiding greasy foods. While the oils you eat don't directly affect your face, they can get on your fingers or around your mouth and cause breakouts. Also, when you drink lots of water and eat less greasy foods, you generally feel better. And who can say that's a bad thing?

When you say you open your pores with hot water, are you steaming your face? Or are you wetting it with hot water? Steam is ok, hot water is bad, and drying to the skin.
Alcohol (as lots of other people have said) is VERY drying for the skin, most product lines don't use alcohol, or use a naturally non harsh kind.
I haven't used Noxzema, so I can't say exactly what its doing to your skin, but cleansing twice in one routine is probably a bit much.
Also I'd recommend a moisturizer specially formulated for the face, instead of cocoa butter which is normally a body lotion.
The bumps are most likely irritation.
I would recommend going to see an esthetician who will recommend products, and a cleansing routine for your skin type. Its VERY important that it match what your skin type actually is, not what you think it is.

You are totally over cleaning your face. Alcohol is one of the absolute worst things you can use to clean your face. Also, personally I've found Noxzema to be very harsh. Why are you stripping all the oil off your face and then adding it back with cocoa butter? The cocoa butter is probably making your face break out. Do you really need an acne treatment? I would seriously rethink this whole regimine. You might want to talk to a dermatologist. Mine recommends Purpose products, Aveeno products and Basis products. I use Purpose liquid cleanser in the shower. I don't normally use any moisturizer. You should only moisturize if you actually need to, which some people don't. I use Basis individual facial wipes if I need to clean my face while I'm out. I use Aveeno facial cleanser (instead of the Purpose) in the winter if my face is a little dry.

Sorry but this is not a good cleansing routine since you are, without a doubt, irritating your skin. Never pour alchool on your face!!! Seriously that could lead to red bumps, flaky skin and even oilier skin. Hot water
You are cleansing too harshly but use a way too rich and moisturizer for your oily/acne skin that can clog pores.
============================
-----My routine suggestion:------
AM - Using lukewarm water, wash your face with a gentle yet acne formulated foaming cleanser that contains no more than 2% of salcilyc acid. ( Neutrogena foam wash, clean & clear foamy washes). Gently pat dry and moisturize and protect using a product for your skin type. I recommend Bioré's pore perfect moisturizer.
PM- Wash your face with your AM cleanser, follow up with a toner (like clean & clear clarifying toner, not alchool) and replace moisturizer with a targeted treatement than your apply on pimple or affected area. If your main problem is pimples and bumps, a 5% benzoyle Peroxide cream in a water based solution (Not alchool once again) is appropriated. But if it is blackheads, a 2% or 2,5% sallcylic acid gel will get you better results.
Bi-Weekly
Exfoliate your skin with a exfoliating cleanser containing small beads. (Biore, St-Ives, clean & clear and neutrogena have some great products)
Remember that you can always get an appointement with a dermatologist if you are very concerned about your problem. But stick with my routine in the meantime.

I have gone to a dermatologist for awhile and I have learned a few things.... Don't use alcohol on your face, it is too harsh on your skin and can cause your face to get very dry. If this happens, your skin creates more oil and can cause breakouts. Not to mention, the Noxzema contains benzoyl peroxide with the combination with alcohol has pretty bad drying effects. Noxzema is ok, if you are not experiencing breakouts but, I think you should use Oil of Olay moisturizer becuase it is dermatologist recommended and it has a sun screen in it and that is very important for your skin. I have used Proactive which is good for about six months and then it does not work anymore. I have used Retina-A micro, Adoxa and Phisoderm. Have not had a breakout since.

Hi Ya
You have bumps because it does not matter how much you cleanse your face this only helps, the best aid to good skin is drinking lots of water and a good diet fruit veg and protein It is what is going on deep in the oil glands and pores where we can not reach. So the measures we take on top of the skin really help a little another help is a face good face mask which bring impuritys to the surface
hope this helps

don't use achol on your face it drys it out . in the moring start with your noxzema leave it on for a while till it starts to tingle then splash water on your face till it is all off and keep your eye's close. then at night use the same noxzema do the same thing. when you keep changing cleanzers it does not help to keep zits and blackheads away. and with the lotion when you put on coverup in the moring mix it in . the lotion helps your face not to dry out.

hey, don't overdue your skin!
i used to do this kind of thing too, and the bumps can be a signal that your skin is getting irritated.
opening your pores with the hot water is a good idea though, try looking for a cleanser that suits to most of your needs and be sure to lightly moisturize afterwards.

Using any body lotion on your face clogs the pores and will give you acne. Skip the cocoa butter and use a Neutrogena facial lotion with SPF (preferably 30) in it to keep your skin clearer. Other companies make good facial lotions too, but make sure they are non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic.

What a waste of time and money. Get yourself a good antibacterial soap and wash your face with soap and water. You will get the same result. Don't be fooled by all the quackery out there. You don't need to spend heaps to have a clean face. The cosmetic companies are making fools out of us all.
Don't be a sucker!!!!
