Why doesnt drinking liquids like water, wash out all the acids and enzymes...

How does the liquid get absorbed?

It does.

It dilutes the acid, the size of the stomache and the amount of acid pH matters and varys greatly, it signals for more acid when it dilutes enough, however heres the kicker, when the water goes in it doesn't stay long, so say you got ten minutes from a large glass of water it would be gone and your stomache would barely calm down before it got more acidic again.

So here's what i reccommmend, some bread to go with the water to keep it in the stomache longer and hold the water with it, a large glass of water or two with a couple slices of bread, the absorbant wholesome type might give you a few hours perhaps longer than your average antacid.

Chemistry... Stomach acid contains a strong acid, hydrochloric acid. In order to neutralize strong acids, you need a base (buffering). Plain water does not get rid of hydrogen ions (which is what makes the acid acidic).

many candy have baking soda and it safe you can take a 1/2 spoonful. they are many medication over the counter in the drug store like tagamet ,pepsy, thats funcion are to decreased peptic acid. you can take 200mg tagamet 12hrs or before meal . but first take a MD evaluation for emterobaster pylori that bacterie how can cause heart burn ,ulcer and is the first cause of stomach cancer it treatment are whit antibiotic ,it DX are for blood sampler or breath sampler .

i don't know but did you hear about that lady that drank a gallon of water and died because of water intoxication?? i didn't know you could die from too much water!
