I'm 5-9 and I weigh about 150. I'm 20 years old, and developed kinda slow. From when I was 18 up to last October, I weighed 165-170, then in like 2 weeks I dropped 15-20 pounds really fast. I didn't feel any different, and have not changed my eating at all (except maybe avoiding trans fats recently). I can't seem to gain the weight back. I'm not at all muscular. My ribs show on my sides and in the middle of my chest when I inhale.

I feel fine, but is there something wrong?

Are you active? What other foods do you eat ?do you eat carbs and other foods? Are you in love? What about your dad or uncle or grandpa did they level off and loose a bit about the same age as you? I am sure that after a while when things calm down I give it 2 weeks if you have not gaind about 3 lbs I would advise going to the Doctor. If you have the ability try emailing your PCP and let them know your concern. Depending on the insurance you have I am sure that you can get a answer if not at least get some labs done. I sure hope that your able to start feeling chipper again soon. OH I sure wish I had your problem I am the opposite.

Well, your weight is perfectly healthy. As far as your weight loss goes, 15-20 pounds is ALOT for two weeks, but it could be a number of factors, including stress or a career change. Even though you're an adult, your body can still develop and change at this point. If you want to gain muscle mass, I suggest speaking with a personal trainer about weight training. If you're really worried and continue to lose weight rapidly, then talk to your doctor. I hope all is well.

I'm not sure about the losing 15-20 lbs in 2 weeks..that sounds a little overexaggerated..were you on any medication at that time?..but anyway there is definitely nothing wrong with your weight. 150 lbs at your height is actually perfect and very healthy :)

i dont mean to freak you out, but 15-20 pounds in 2 weeks is just a BIG ign of a BIG problem.
your weight might fall in to the healty range, but the weight loss you have experienced tells something else.
it can be some kinda stomach problem, again, not to freak you out or anything, but cancer might be another possiblity.
considering all the possibilities, i would suugest you go to a doctor. as soon as possible.

You don't have a weight problem. You're a bright guy with a confidence problem. You're fine. Eat healthy; get some exercise; and don't be afraid to talk about it with a lady over some Kona. Good luck.

well you should go to the doctor for a checkup but it sounds like maybe you just eat enough and you can lose weight fast like if you get depressed and dont eat
