i take coumadin, a blood thinner and my tongue and gums have started stinging and burning

yes a sore mouth is a side effect of coumadin. heres some other side effects just for an fyi: bleeding, trouble swallowing, swelling, shortness of breath, dermatitis, red-orange urine, low white blood cells

Coumadin use to be used as a rat poison by making them bleed to death internally. So you do not want to take too much.

You should be going in for tests because Coumadin reacts differently for people. Your INR should be at the levels that the doctor says they need to be at.

Call the Pharmacy that you got the Coumadin from and ask them, better yet take in the pills and make sure they are really coumadin.

I worked on a Lawsuit where they gave the person the wrong pills instead of Coumadin and the guy had a stroke.

Just call the pharamacy right now and ask them.

I doubt the coumadin has anything to do with sensorial changes in your mouth. You need to see the doctor, you could have oral thrush, which is easily treated.`
