Daemon Tools can mount the BIN file into a virtual disk drive. From there, access the virtual disk drive to view its contents or copy them to your computer.

You can download Daemon Tools from the following website:

http://www.daemon-tools.cc/

Good luck. :)

P.S. Don't forget to read the manual/help files that come with Daemon Tools.

BIN = Binary. Generally reserved for the UNIX world. It is an executable. All executables are stored in binary file unlike test files that are in asii.. C will open binary files.

The 2 windows file types I know of that use the .bin are associated with either CD images, or MSBootVis.

CD images that have .bin are usually big, and often have a .cue file next to them in the folder. You can use Nero to burn them to CD, or you can get Alcohol http://www.alcohol-soft.com to create a virtual CD without burning it.

MSBootVis allows you to optimize the time it takes your computer to boot, by keeping a detailed log of the boot process and presenting it to you. This detailed log is saved in a .bin file.

You might be able to look at it in notepad or some other program, but it won't do you much good. The bin stands for binary meaning you will see jibberish, 1s and zeros, etc.

I would not delete any of those, btw.

It might be a CD image. Open it with a program like NERO for burning CD/DVD and do "Burn from Image"

I think you can download files in pure binary from newsgroups - could it be something from there?
