The word is prorate, no hyphen.

It means to divide, distribute, or assess proportionately, or to settle affairs on the basis of proportional distribution.

It means that you can trade an item in, but not at full cost, rather an amount is deducted based on how long you had the item before returning it.

If you mean pronate it has to do with your hands on the takeaway.
A good takeaway is in your hands when you pronate you turn or twist your hands to early in the backswing basically right in the takeaway its kinda of a glitch. It can Can cause weird compensations in your swing a good takeaway right from the ball is your hands slowly moving the club back almost dragging the club away but not that extreme you only turn or twist your hands in your swing because of the natural shape of the swing it happens about halfway or 3/4 of the way up it should happen 3/4 but some players do it about halfway when you turn your hands it allows the club face to open and make a complete backswing. The rest is the downswing you return the face to square and the rest is timing.
