There are many churches. And we are falling short on the unity in Christ love, because of critical self-righteousness. The Church needs to meditate on who they are in Christ, and when taking communion, discern the Body of Christ. Realize that all redeemed by His blood is made the righteousness of Christ.

The true Churches of Jesus Christ are founded on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God as the Rock foundation (faith in Him), and also the foundation of Jesus (corner stone) and His 12 disciples. They believe the Bible Truth and have the love of God in their hearts.

The names of the 12 disciples are in the foundation of the New Heavenly Jerusalem. The 12 pearl Gates are the names of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Loving one another isn't bickering about doctrines of men. Too much of the denomination division is only only divided because of the doctrines of men that come into the churches. Also, some churches don't accept the whole Holy Bible. They pick & choose. And that divides the Church. We need to appreciate all the true Christian Church denominations for what is truly Godly Truth in them (as the anointing of Truth reveals) and let God remove the tares (false doctrines & slanders).

To fulfill the law love God and love others. Bear ye one anothers burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ. Do to others as you would have them do to you. Those who hate other Christians don't have the love of God in them. So aren't really saved yet. Jesus said that how could we love Him if we don't love one another in Christ.

a) It means that Christians, like everyone else, are sinners in need of a Savior.
b) The divided churches are a scandal and a success of faith. The scandal is our dividedness. It is also the success of the faith in that the centrality of Jesus is so great and so acknowledged, churches can be formed for people of vastly different tastes/races/ and the like. I like a classical rock church. My mother would have fainted after the first chord.

You are wise to point out the divisions - they are not the problem though. Each person in each age is exactly the same before God.

add Jesus' words at Matthew 7:13-23 to your fine collection of scriptures. The description is a minority of those calling themselves Christian who are truly manifesting the Bible's most important form of Love. A majority of sincere yet mistaken people are believers but not doers of the will of God. It is unfortunate for them, but there are loyal subjects of God's kingdom, and there are those who are not. They choose to devote their loyalty to other pursuits, despite what they claim.

You are right.
This is why most of the disciples of Jesus are unknown, because they are represented by wolf in sheep's clothing.

The intolerant are deterring people away from Jesus with their hatred and bigotry and resentments. However the humble loving kind ones are keeping their mouths shut and living for God.

The Church is not divided. The Scripture makes no contingency for the fact that anyone can call themselves "Christian" and be accepted as such.

Jesus is giving us in this world today, a commandment he would like for us to love each other as he loved us. He loved us enough to lay down his life for us. And that is what God is all about Love.
