Porn is just like any addiction, and you're going to go through temptations every day. Just like drugs, porn is easily available and easy to hide at first. You almost slip because its just so easy ... and you think that no one will know if I do again just this one time ... You have to realize that you'll never "get over it" ... its something that you'll have to deal with for the rest of your life.

You have to maintain the attitude that you don't want to go back to that lifestyle. Find things to occupy your time. Don't spend lots of undirected time online. I'm sure that there are support groups for this kind of addiction. Having others who knew how I felt helped me when I was first trying to stay clean.

R U male or female? Maybe you should really think about what it is you get out of looking at porn to begin with. I am impressed by the fact that you know it is wrong, because most people today believe it is just a normal daily thing to do like getting a cold soda, or reading a newspaper or something. I do not know if you are a religious person, but I find that prayer at the moment of temptation always helps me to resist doing all things I feel are wrong, yet am tempted to do anyway.

My boyfriend used to be a porn addict and he told me how he got over it. Like the one person said about books, stay away from the computer for a while and do something else. Read books, go walking/jogging/running, join some sort of club or something and meet new people to hang with. You should limit your time on the computer and only use it for work, school or other purposes like that.

Have someone "child-proof' your computer ,locking you out of all porn sites. Talk to another "recovering "porn addict.

Please seek professional help. This would be the best thing you can do. A counselor or psychologist would be best.

If you cannot help yourself, no one can do it for you.
