I don't think I would consider it cheating if my girl hooked up with another chick, so would it work the same way if I hooked up with a guy??

With a guy, an old man, an old womaan, a meter maid, a politician, a priest, a person from another race, someone from a different country, a divorced person, a trans-sexual, an impotent stranger etc.......

Cheating is cheating. You cheat yourself first and then others. You never get to see what it is like to really intensely love and care for someone, and to be unselfish.
The other person never gets all of you.
To consider it not cheating for your girl to get naked and personal with anyone is just dumb. Why would it matter if it was a man or a woman? Women count. She can love anyone, and leave you for anyone. She can be faithful to you despite her interests in others. So can you.
Sex is the easy part. Love and devotion are the hard part.

It depends on the girl........ i c ur point though if a girl hooked up with another girl at a party or somethin i doubt her boyf would have a problem though i think girls would question why u r wanting to hook up with a guy, r u gay etc i no its stereotyped and double standard but i doubt u would get away with it like a girl would.

Guys SHOULD think it is cheating when thier girlfriends have sex with other girls WITHOUT THEM KNOWING ABOUT IT (even though they would like it) so if you had sex with another guy and your girlfriend was okay with it then no. It works both ways with both sexes when it comes to cheating.
