my grade in science is failing, and i have to have a parent-teacher conference about my grade with me in the room. i don't know what to do. any advice on making myself seem the better person? i usually am not like this at all. i'm very nice in class and the teachers all apparently love me. i just suck at science. i don't know what to say- how to explain myself- anything. any advice to make it better?

come up with a plan to do better in science.
present the plan, not excuses.
maybe the plan is to read the book out loud a chapter a night.
maybe the plan is to do 3 extra reports or something.
but come up with a plan to improveyour performance.
don't tell them you suck at it. tell them you know you need
to work harder. being the better person won't work.
a realistic plan for doing better in science is what you need.

First of all, you need to accept the fact that you're failing in science class and don't try to cover it up. Secondly, if you're having trouble in the class, ask the teacher for help that's what their paid to do. Don't, use your nice behavior in class as a shield to justify you failing the class.

Admit you are having difficulty with the subject and ask what you can do to help your grade... like getting a tutor. You will be making the initiative, which always looks better.
