If you believe that this world is only a few thousand years old, then where did the Dinosaurs come from? Why are they not stated in the bible? We know for a fact that they were here far longer than we have been and lived for millions of years before man even scraped the surface of a being. So how come that never crosses your minds when you think this world is soo young? Please no rude responses I just want to know what the logic is behind your beliefs..Thanks

The Human being has been here longer than that. The proof has already been found and it was a woman archeologist.

Her findings were very significant to prove many things so many tihgs that the Government has stepped in and told her that she cannot write any books about her findings. She also has to give up her findings to the Government.

I am not sure if she is till alive, but this happen back in 1994.

The remaoins of the human she found was to be dated over 100,000 years old. Now you go figure. The things that this was fond near the body proves Mans exhistance way before the Bible was ever written. It is very spooky, but Fact./

I've often wondered about this question myself, here is what I've learned from my study of the Bible. Humans have been here for around 6000+ years. But the earth is much older.

"The Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.
The book 'A Vanished World: The Dinosaurs of Western Canada' states that “all of the 11 major kinds of dinosaurs . . . ceased to exist in the western interior at about the same time.” This, and the fact that human bones have not been found with dinosaur bones, is why most scientists conclude that the Age of Dinosaurs ended before humans came on the scene.
However, it should be noted that there are some who say that dinosaur bones and human bones are not found together because dinosaurs did not live in areas of human habitation. Such differing views demonstrate that the fossil record does not yield its secrets so easily and that no one on earth today really knows all the answers." Awake, Feb. 8, 1990, published by Jehovah's Witnesses.

I hope that this helps to answer your question.

Here is something else to wrap your mind around. Dinosaur bones appear in distinct layers. Certain layers contain dinosaurs of one type and other layers contain dinosaurs of a different type. For instance you will never find a stegosaur and a tyransaurus rex in the layer. To make this even more fun, you can look at life forms before dinosaurs and after dinosaurs and find the same results. You never find wooly mammoth bones and dinosaur bones in the same layer. You never find giant sloth bones and dinosaur bones in the same layer. You never find human bones and dinosaur bones in the same layer. So, if the world is 6000 years old then how did we get this layering of fossil deposits.

To the person who said that the humans drove the dinosaurs underground: Where did you get that information? Obviously not the bible or else it would have been stated before.

To the person who says that dragons were dinosaurs in the bible: the bible also talks of unicorns.

To the same person who points to cultures of the world referring to dragon like creatures: Many cultures also speak of vampires and werewolves, do we need to believe in those as well.

You have fallen into Satan's trap.

He put those dinosaur bones there to deceive us. He also sneaks DNA into our cells at conception to trick us into thinking we are the result of genetics and evolution. And he does the same thing with every cell in every plant and every animal on the planet so we can never find a living organsm (except a virus) without DNA. Also he makes the planets that circle the earth go backwards sometimes so that they appear to us as they would if earth and the other planets were all orbiting the sun. And he makes radiation emit from certain elements really slow so that when we try to use the half life of say Uranium to date things we get numbers in the billions instead of the thousands.

But some of us are too smart to be fooled by Satan's tricks.

One of the worst things Satan does is rewrite the Bible so that most of it doesn't make any sense, like he puts things in the wrong order and he tells the same story 2 or 3 different ways that contradict each other and he changes it so God does all these mean things. That's why it's not safe for us to read the Bible on our own. That would just confuse us like Satan planned. That's why we need to go to church and have it interpreted for us, kind of like people reading tea leaves. It might look like a jumbled mess to us but it can be explained to us so that it all makes sense.

Do you understand now?

The age of the earth is inconsequential... We are here today despite how long ago the earth was created.

If it was 50 years ago or 10 x 800 to the 205th we are still here and the knowledge of the truth gives us very little solace in a world were people are starving in the streets and shooting each other over PS3's.

HAHA, who's your chum? a lot evidence has been accumulated that earth is there because the time of dinosaurs. That makes it atleast one hundred and fifty million years of age. How can or not that is 6000 years? LOL good success.

I am one of those "people" who believe that the world is only 6,000 yrs. old. Dinosaurs were mentioned in the Bible, in the book of Job, Leviathon is one of them, the other is Behemoth (or some type of spelling that like) Dinosaurs lived and roamed the earth before the flood. After the flood they became extinct bc the earth changed drastically after the flood, the living conditions before the flood were perfect. I do believe that Noah took dinosaurs on the boat with him, but they could not adapt and live in the earth's new atmosphere so they slowly died off. And how do you know for a "fact" that they have been here for millions of years, is that because you read it in your public school science book in school and b/c that is waht evoloutionist and scientist say?

"We know for a fact that they were here far longer than we have been and lived for millions of years before man even scraped the surface of a being"

How do you know this 'for a fact'?

And I don't believe that the earth is 6000 years old...I actually have no idea how old the earth is because the bible does not say how much time went by while Adam and Eve were around before they sinned.

They were around in the Garden of Eden but they rebelled against the rule of mankind. So we fought them and drove them underground where we find their fossils to this very day.

But seriously the Earth is way older than 6,000 years. I do believe man and dinosaur existed together at one point long ago though. Hence all the stories of dragons. Look, a stegosaurus on some old temple in Asia:

And on some ancient tablets a saurapod:

There a bunch more.

Many people don't realize that paleontology (the study of past geological ages based primarily on the study of fossils) is a relatively new science. In fact, the concept of "dinosaurs" only surfaced in its present form less than 180 years ago. Prior to that, anyone who found a large fossilized bone assumed it came from an elephant, dragon or giant. It wasn't until 1841 that English scientist Richard Owens suggested that the group of "newly discovered" animals be called "dinosaurs" (meaning, "terrible lizards"). Therefore, we shouldn't expect to see dinosaurs in the Bible, but we should expect to see descriptions of "dragons" and other large creatures. In fact, we do!

A search for the word "dragon" in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible produces 34 separate matches across 10 different books written between approximately 2000 BC and 90 AD. The word "dragon" ( Hebrew: tannin) is used throughout the Old Testament, and most directly translates as "sea or land monsters." Interestingly, Genesis 1:21 describes God's creation of sea dragons (tannin) on the 5th day. Today's Bible translations use the following terms instead: "great whales" (KJV), "the great creatures of the sea" (NIV), "the great sea monsters" (NASB), and "great sea creatures" (NLT, NKJV). However, the original Hebrew is more descriptive of the sea-going dinosaurs we now see in numerous museums throughout the world. Even more dramatic is the Book of Job, where the author describes the great land creature, Behemoth (Job 40), and the great water creature, Leviathan (Job 41). Although the latest Bible translations use the words elephant, hippo or crocodile instead of Behemoth and Leviathan, the original Hebrew and the context of the descriptions do not allow for these interpretations.

Descriptions of dinosaur-like creatures are nearly universal throughout the world's ancient cultures. Where did this global concept originate? How did societies throughout the world describe, record, draw, etch, sew and carve such creatures in such uniformity, if they did not witness these creatures during their lifetimes? Of course, these accounts are by no means limited to the Bible. Dragon accounts from China, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America share similar accounts of dinosaur-like beasts. Records of Marco Polo in China show that the royal house kept dragons for ceremonies, and records of the Greek historian Herodotus and the Jewish historian Josephus describe flying reptiles in ancient Egypt and Arabia. In many cultures it was a great honor to kill these creatures. There are numerous records of warriors killing great beasts in order to establish credibility in a village. Gilgamesh, Fafnir, Beowulf and other famous legends, including the mythology of Egypt, Greece and Rome, provide specific descriptions of dragons and other dinosaur-like creatures.

Dinosaurs are depicted on numerous objects of ancient art throughout the world. Dinosaur-like creatures are featured on Babylonian landmarks, Roman mosaics, Asian pottery and royal robes, Egyptian burial shrouds and government seals, Peruvian burial stones and tapestries, Mayan sculptures, Aboriginal and Native American petroglyphs (carved rock drawings), and many other pieces of ceremonial art throughout ancient cultures. If dinosaurs supposedly went extinct at least 50 million years ago, how did ancient man of the last few thousand years precisely and uniformly depict them? The Bible is clear -- sea creatures were created by God on Day 5 and land creatures were created by God on Day 6. These creatures included dinosaurs, which co-existed with man until they died off for various reasons, including most dramatically, the worldwide flood of Noah.
