My boyfriend bought me something that it supposed to be displayed, but it is really ugly and not my taste at all. Would you still put it in your house?

You could display it for a short time and the "accidentally" break it while cleaning.
Or you could just tell him the truth that it is not really something you like and ask him if maybe he'd like it back for himself.

Put it in the closet. When he is gone for a bit get rid of it. Keep it for a bit just for him in case he ask to make him feel better. It will look good in the top or the back of the closet.

Put it some where out of the way . You can also only take it out when hes there .
Or you can be honest about it in a gentle way . That way he wont make that same mistake.
