Why am I a mean drunk on hard liquor, but not on beer?

Question

When I drink whiskey, tequilla, or vodka, I always seem to get to a point where I blackout and get angry and nasty, but when I drink beer I seem to stay in the good mood. Is there something in hard liquor that might be responsible for this, or is it just that I'm getting more drunk on hard liquor and I can't handle the hooch?

You're a light weight. Stick to the beer.

It is simply a matter of quantity. Booze is so concentrated.

Beer is between 3.5 and 5.5 percent depending on brand.

Hard booze is between 40% and 50%

Whiskey on the rocks ...you can easily pour yourself a triple with
out realizing it. Margarita in a pint glass...Ditto.

Lots of people are @ssholes when they drink hard liquor. Use the knowledge and drink wisely. Too much alcohol overpowers your senses. I don't know why exactly. But if you know what happens, why risk getting into trouble with it? Drink beer instead.

try a Whiskey - Boilermaker
Boilermaker contains a shot of blended whiskey and a mug of beer
maybe the beer will help and you want need as much whiskey, therefore you will be just annoying.

it harder to get real drunk on beer when compared to hard Liquor
and when you get real drunk you drop your inhibitions and your inner personally come out.
this is the real issue and I suggest you work on that as that inner anger will slowly eat you alive.
however the first step I would do is simply stop drinking hard liquor.
and then work on balancing your self I sugest yoga, ti chi and meditation as well as truly forgiving any one who has done you wrong (you do not need to forgot what they done just forgive them)

that happens to a lot of people.. do you drink it straight if so try mix drinks instead... if your already mixing it then stick to beer
