typically only eating 1/2 a meal, or more often just orders an appetizer as the whole meal for themself

... and if it did bother you, why?

Of course not. I'm not a big eater - I usually end up taking 1/2 of my dinners home with me as lunches the next day!

Depends on you. Some places you go an appetizer is all you need. You will find a lot of older couples that get one diner and share. You just need to show that you are eating enough and not one of those people trying to starve themselves. It is all in how you act.

If it was a guy yes, a girl no, because it's average that a girl eats small portions espcially if she's small.

When I was having dinner last night, my boyfriend ordered a salad and the waiter automatically assumed it was for me. LOL

I ordered RIBS...ate 1/2 the rack. 1/2 the fries and didn't touch the cole slaw...I mean at least you're eating right... =)

It would not bother me unless the person ordered expensive food and picked over it. It would bother me because we could have done something other than eat if the person was not hungry.

Well, it shouldn't, but it does. I really enjoy food and I enjoy people who enjoy food, and the whole eating experience. Guys and women are surprised at my appetite given my stats, but they love the fact I can really dig in.

I would find it really problematical to go out with a "light eater".

Most people don't like to gorge themselves while courting someone. It sometimes gives the wrong impression. A couple months down the road, I'm sure you'll see that person stuff their face. I think it's just manners not to do that.

Saphire, no it would not bother me. Maybe he/she is trying to lose weight, on a diet, or just doesn't want to make a bad first impression by ordering that 64 oz. steak and looking like a pig.

Not really... As long as they don't mind me eating more than them. But in some ways it could be weird... you'd feel like you're a pig when hanging with someone who doesn't eat that much.

well i cook enuff for four or five when i cook so if they ate only half a bowl of my very best Beff Stew then I would feel that they didnt like it or that they wanted to get out of there to get away from me or something.... it would also make me feel that I was fat....and it would be weird to bring her to my parents house because there the same way... its also just plain weird..... hope I helped.

nope it wouldnt bother me, but i guess im used to it because my ex boyfriend always used to do that. he has always had to watch what he eats because he used to be a little over weight and he has managed to lose upward of 60 lbs so he doesnt want to gain it back so he eats very healthy.
