I friend of mine lost her 5yr old baby girl in an accident about a week ago.
Does anybody know of any Scriptures in the bible that may help her through this?
Or any websites I could visit to learn and help her?

I Thank You, with all my heart.

The Beatitudes:
“Blest too are the sorrowing; they shall be consoled.”

God Bless you, It sounds like God's call you to console the greiving. Certainly, Jesus love all childreen, and he praises them during his travels on Earth.

Wikipedia says: "parents find the grief devastating and while persons may rate the death of a spouse as first in traumatic life events, the death of a child holds greater risk factors. This loss also bears a lifelong process: one does not get 'over' the loss but instead learns to assimilate and live with the death. Intervention and comforting support can make all the difference to the survival of a parent in this type of grief but the risk factors are great and may include family breakup or suicide. Feelings of guilt, almost always unfounded, are pervasive, and the dependent nature of the relationship disposes parents to a variety of problems as they seek to cope with this great loss. This, coupled with normal experiences of grief, can be overwhelming."

I would suggest finding out who her Priest/ Pastor/ Religious leader is and get advice on books and how you can help her. If she does not have this in place already, you might do research and offer her suggestions. She may reject God altogether for a while, but, as a friend --- you can find ways to keep the door open for her.

there's ordinarily not anything extra painful. For now, how approximately a small accumulating ( deliver meals) and speak approximately that a memorial rite possibly a well factor. to aid every person recognize the predicament, recognize the loss. make it transparent that you're on this in combination. I would not recommend a laugh blissful matters for a at the same time - the mothers and fathers are nonetheless in surprise. In th UK, there are individuals educated as grief counselors. if any such factor exists wherein you are living, i suppose that could be way more moneymaking than a psychiatrist.

Don't try. Seriously. I'm not being a monster nor am I telling you to ignore her or her pain. But do NOT try to reduce her pain. The pain she is feeling right now is her own unique pain and you will NEVER understand it. Just BE there. If she needs to cry, be the shoulder that holds her. If she needs to scream, rant, rave, plead, beg, sob, be the ear that hears her. In the quiet moments, be the hand that reaches over to hold hers.

Say as little as possible with your words. Say it by being a friend. Do not avoid her, do not be afraid of not knowing what to say. Just don't, unless she needs you to.

Everyone MUST deal with grief in their own way, or they're liable to bury it and bottle it because they get the feeling they're not grieving the 'right way'. Do not enable this. Allow her to grieve her way.

I am really sorry to hear about the loss. But everyone has come from God and eeryone will return to Him.

Here are some books that will have some thoughts that you can share;

I have not read these books myself but have read some others of the author. I'm a Muslim and just wanted to help, so I have tried to help in the way I know. I'm sorry if you don't find it useful.

I know about the Muslim belief. But Christians and Muslims believe in the same God, one true God. So all is His word.

Muslim religion says, a child who dies before puberty, does not want to go to heaven without holding the hands of her parents. So she is the reason to take her parents to heaven.

I really want to believe it. Because my cousin died at age 25, leaving a 4 year old child behind...

May God help your friend. So nice she has a friend like you. God bless.

P.S) vice versa for the child who lost the mother, becomes a reason for heaven

alot of the time the mother will be blaming herself its natural instinct im sorry to say however its part of the grief process her pain is so raw she is not even aware of the help she is recieving everyone promises to be there and many try to be but after a certain time many drift away they stop inviting them to their homes it makes those who have not lost a child feel guilty for having their children and afraid of hurting their friend
After a grieving process slowly eases this will take a long long time be patient she needs to her grief the passage for the mother to feel like she can enter society again she often needs to face a whole new senerio. You never get over the loss of child the mother may feel anger to her god you must NOT be angry at this is its natural to deny your God, for taking a child it feels unnatural and is, unnatural parents believe they should leave this world before their children.
Dont force her sit with her listen to her hold her when she needs it let her show you what she needs dont force again she knows your there so allow her the dignity of grief make sure she eats she may not feel like but also watch for deep depression which she make sucumb to its darker than other depressions

She needs time mostly and to know your there if she talks of the child talk with her even if she cries its natural to remember

You do not have to provide Scripture. Just be there for them. Let them know your heart is breaking.
