imagine an average intelligent guy sits on his porch one morning and has an epiphany. with enough time history is made, legends are born, myths are believed and beliefs grow into soild fact. if i had to tell a storie about the creation of the world, the reasons for doing that and how it will end. wat if people believed me and two thousand years passed. i would have created a belief, the people who followed me the history, the acts done in my name the legends and myths supplied by the non believers. would it be at all possible that this might have happened already. you believe wat your parents and
society raised you with. all religions and people are the same. they just heard different versions of someones story. but being as selfish and power hungry as we are, it was changed to suite our individual desires. but was it really nesassary to place all our hopes on a great business concept. i geuss wat im really asking is, who does not believe that religion was such a great idea?

Everyone, has a belief system, everyone. Even you atheist believe in some morality or ethic to live by.
We also continually seek to find out "the meaning of life", "why are things the way they are", "what am I here for", etc.
We form our opinions on what we have experienced or what someone we regard highly has experienced and related to us.
In times past, some folks believed that Atlas held the world on his shoulders, others that the world traveled in its path on the backs of a huge tortoise. The bible even suggests that the "world is suspended on nothing".
Whether religion or a belief system is such a great idea, I don't know. But it has been with us as long as we've been us.

I've always thought religion is a horrible idea and a plague on mankind that has destroyed countless lives because some people didn't want to believe in such nonsense.
