I saw this on youtube and couldn't believe it. Eddie Bravo looks like a completely average joe. You figure the average golfer looks more athletic than Eddie Bravo yet he beat a great grappler in Royler Gracie. Anyone seen the footage and understand how he did it. He won by submission but basically controlled Royler with his weird style guard the whole fight. I don't understand the guard he uses but it looks like you need to be ultra-flexible to use it. He moves his legs like they were his arms. Anyone have any insight into this style?

Eddie Bravo is the master of the Rubber Guard. He and BJ Penn use the same guard technique. It's effective once you have the flexibility to move your knees in those positions. Very awesome and powerful.

Its called the rubber guard and he is not from the only person to submit a gracie

the legendary Kazushi "Gracie Hunter" Sakuraba submitted both Royler Gracie and Renzo Gracie via Kimura

Matt Hughes submitted Royce Gracie via verbal submission due to strikes he also had him in an armbar and Royce wouldnt tap and he didnt want to break his arm so he let it go.

Even Rickson Gracie was submitted in a BJJ tournament

the rubber into a butterfly.
However, BJ Penn has better BJJ than anyone else right now.
Gracie's are not immortal.

Rickson is 400-0. He has never been defeated!
