Before our first date, this girl told me she liked me and that she felt comfortable around me. That for the first time she actually cared about her own feelings and the other one in a relationship. She felt different with me. We spent alot of time together during campus and on our way back home, since it was finals time.
But during the end of our first date, she suddendly said she wanted to be friends; told me that when we were kissing during the movies, she felt that it was too intense and it was going too fast (although she was the one that initiated it and kissed most during the movie). She just couldn't open up and express herself which never happend before.
I really dont understand why she was insecure. I been sincere and honest with her since the first day. Did she really like me? Why would she do this especially during the first date? If she really did like me, wouldn't she want to talk and work things out. Unless she has commitment issues or her feelings have changed.

Right now, me and her are just friends. And I have been trying to be optimistic about us. Like maybe she has commitment issues and needs time to figure things out, or maybe the previous relationships had an affect on her…
However, I been trying to speak to her on occasionally on AIM recently, but it seems like she isn’t talking or opening up much. I have not been pushy on the issue either, but just trying to be mature about it and talk as friends.
I have been thinking, should I move on or wait until she is ready (since I still like her).
The thing is that she is not really talking much, and I can’t seem to figure out what went wrong. Should I ask her sometime in person when we have the chance? Or should I just move on.

Let her know that your feelings for her are stronger then a friendship and you know that as friends you won't work out. Tell her that if she needs someone to talk to that you are there for her - but this friendship deal can't work.
Then only talk to her if she comes to you first. It might give her the push she needs to come out and let you know how she feels. If she misses you enough and wants you back in her life then she'll come back for sure.

Yes, feelings can change on a first date, after a first kiss, or after more intimate situations. Sometimes things just don't feel the way we think they should feel. She probably doesn't want to hurt your feelings, but it sounds like she is looking for some space to figure out her feelings for herself, since she mentioned things were moving too fast & were too intense.
Tell her that you are there when she is ready.
Be there for her, but don't hover. Homework in group situations, same as going for coffee so there is no pressure. For you: Don't pass up other opportunities to see other people you might have an interest in - waiting for her to figure herself out - lots of us never get there.

She probably felt uncomfortable kissing you and thinks that because of that it won't work out.
I can't really understand female logic but I'm assuming that is it.
If you were mature about it and talked to her and she still won't open up then there is nothing else you can do.
You could tell her that you want something more and your willing to take it slow or whatever she wants, That might help her decide that you two should date.

That depends. If you have sex with someone that you don't love, then the feelings most likely won't intensify. If you already love that person, then yes, your feelings will intensify. Mine did. A LOT lol.

girls feelings do change about guys and u might be going to fast for her like kissing her mite have been like having sex with your clothes on and shes on top of u when u kiss and she might not have been that comfortable!?
