I get this about once per month, anyone know the reason?

it doesent hurt, just feels like its sheding

Assuming there are no other symptoms, such as bleeding, tenderness and pain, it sounds like thrush. Thrush is basically a yeast infection in your mouth.

You can first keep it controlled by staying away from sugary foods. Secondly, make sure you keep up on hygiene; brush throroughly (making sure to rinse your toothbrush VERY well after each use), use mouthwash, and floss regularly.

Additionally, if it's not a severe case, you can try to treat it yourself by eating some yogurt once or twice a day for about a week... but make sure the yogurt contains active cultures, like 'acidopphilus'. If you're not a fan of yogurt, you can actually get acidophillus pills at you local pharmacy or GNC, and follow the instructions on the label.

"Lacto-bacilli" is a pill you could also use.

If it persists... I'd see a doctor.

Oh... and no kissing with the symptoms.
